Ia menambahkan, khitanan massal tersebut juga menjadi upaya meringankan beban masyarakat yang masih terdampak secara psikologis dan ekonomi akibat musibah banjir yang melanda wilayah Medan Utara.
“Dengan adanya kegiatan ini, setidaknya dapat mengurangi dampak ekonomi masyarakat Medan Utara yang masih trauma akibat musibah banjir, sekaligus memperkuat semangat kebersamaan dan saling tolong-menolong,” lanjutnya.
Dalam kesempatan tersebut, Abah Salman turut menyampaikan apresiasi kepada berbagai pihak yang telah mendukung terselenggaranya kegiatan tersebut.
“Terima kasih kepada anggota DPRD Kota Medan Dapil II yang telah memberikan karangan bunga untuk memeriahkan acara, serta kepada Lurah Martubung, Bapak Anto PL, atas kepedulian, semangat, dan dukungannya sehingga kegiatan ini berjalan lancar,” tutup Abah Salman.
Sementara itu, salah seorang warga sekaligus perwakilan orang tua peserta khitanan, Ustadz Ramdani Sianipar, mengaku bersyukur dan menyambut positif kegiatan tersebut karena sangat membantu meringankan beban ekonomi keluarga.
“Kami sebagai orang tua merasa sangat terbantu dan berbahagia. Kegiatan ini benar-benar mengurangi beban ekonomi kami,” ujarnya.
